Look at Her

Look at Her

A Poem by Jonas
"

Previously untitled, written to my sweetheart of eight month=, though way before I could speak to her as well as I can nowadays.

"

O, is so sheer her similitude fair,

Woven with walls and the fabric of air,

Itching an imprint in nary an eye;

Eerily empty to every--but I.

Alas, o airy, aesthetic attributes!--

Severely surpassed by the secluded

Sublimity, from body excluded,

Whence I look for her ethereal fruits,

Your kind contribution shall be in vain

Long as her spirit succeeds to sustain

The fierce, fountainous flame of desire

Her warm demeanour stokes ever higher,

And thaw the cold heart, of days now bygone;

Teach it love’s meaning, to flatter and fawn.

Got that Shelley vibe of romantic poetry about it.

Now that you mention it, I see some similarities.
