Outside

This is the first poem I ever made. This was made about three or four years ago. The message is supposed to be that of serenity and peace.

Outside is where I belong

Where the wind sings its song

Where the sun shines its light

And the moon pierces the night

My mind stays here in the present

So I can feel how it's so pleasant

To be outside at this time

Even when life can change on a dime

I will remain where I stand

Even if I fall this is where I'll land

Right here is where I need to be

So the wind I know can sing to me

Author's Note

I am mostly curious as to whether or not the pacing of the poem feels right. Or maybe if the rhymes feel too forced. That sort of thing.

it is an interesting read and that is what is good in poetry whether it rhymes or in free verse there is still the content to be considered
