Swelling Gods

Swelling Gods

A Poem by Patience

True health poem

To the Dear Swelling Gods,

I truly hope your listening, for I really do need you today.

You see, my body is very swollen, filled with fluid the Drs say, my skin is pulled so tight, its going to crack open any given day.

The swelling is causing me to itch so bad, Im ready to rip off my face any day. Im so sore from the swelling, so this the Drs say.

I have lack of movement and motion, Ive had to resort to sitting in a chair, I can't do the things I truly love, because this swelling has no emotion or care.

Medication is not helping, nothing will take the swelling down, I am so tired of sitting here with a frown.

I truly can't take it anymore, I really need a break, so Im reaching out to you Swelling Gods, Ill take my relief for goodness sake.
