These hurtful wordsA Poem by Rayne DropletteThis is about being hurt. About how insults remain while physical wounds fade.I am seething with hatred
This anger will burn until I'm dead
Why do people say such hurtful things?
When they know it will never stop hurting
I'd rather be punched then insulted
The bruise will fade and go away
But the words will seep into my skin, and revolted
I know I can only hope and pray
That those nasty words will cease to exist
I'm ending this poem with only this,
While cuts and bruises go away
These hurtful words will always stay. © 2012 Rayne Droplette
