Don't Need Wings

simple little poem for a special Someone <3

I don't need someone to give me wings.

I have those just fine.

I need someone to give me roots,

To keep me down upon the Earth

so that I don't fly away.

Give me roots..

help me to stay.

Hmm... thought provoking . Wings and roots are sometimes associated with christianity and religious and spirituality . So many after they have been a member of belong to acertain group still sometimes choose to fly away than dig their roots . There have been so many church shopping and church hopping now a days than ever was . Flying is sometimes associated with choosing the easy way out than digging in deep . Roots maybe associated with resilence steadfastness and fortitude . Perhaps the piece is talking about aperson's character and qualities ...
