Beautiful

Beautiful

A Chapter by Joshua Randall

Beautiful

It feels so dead cold, lately.
Tends to divide some parts of me with myself.
Destroys reality, with every smile.
Just emptiness floats in a pond of wondering lily pads.
So dead it’s gone into an endless dismay of misunderstandings.
Onto a beach somewhere in the wilderness.
Where hopefully, you’ll find me.

Sweet sorrow, when I miss the feelings much thought of.
Like being grateful, ambition, goals, and dreams.
Love?
Just on hold, please, for just one more minute.
Let me lay here, dreaming of the thought of dreaming.
I hold out my hand, and pray;
that soon you’ll catch my hand,
So cold, until it reaches the ground.

Simplicity, and yin,
To simple to understand, and be apart of.
So simple and secure, but I cant remember,
how to comprehend.
I stare to the west in the afternoon,
only to feel tired and weak.
Just to only close the blinds and sleep until restlessness.
Alike this fake smile with those fake comprehensions.
Just leaves me feeling,
stupid.

Laughing for no reason, s**t, seems long ago.
That first touch, that first song,
that first kiss.

Blending emotion onto emotion.
I was beautiful.
You seem to love me, and I cant stop smiling;
and I’m still laughing for no reason.

Understanding, is the second hardest step.
Because when I realized what just happened I fell apart.
Everyday, it takes longer and longer to remember,
the butterflies.
Shredded, hundreds of beautiful butterflies,
and it makes me wonder one thing.

Was it worth it..?

"Laughing for no reason, s**t, seems long ago.
That first touch, that first song,
that first kiss."
When we taste love and pleasure. We may learn pain. But in the end. The journey was worthwhile. Thank you for the excellent poem.

I love the images of emptiness, sorrow, and then beauty. The thoughts are very relatable, though in certain parts became confusing because of the transitions; Most of your words were deep and figurative. Nice poem ^-^
