He Prays in a Black Suit

He Prays in a Black Suit

A Chapter by Joshua Randall

He Prays in a Black Suit

Time doesn’t give reasons,
No clues or roads to- shine,
Eight-straight years, what war in seasons,
This puppet, which can’t define.

What case he placed, entirely,
Disaster, left behind,
The lies and all it’s scrutiny,
In the work of his- confined.

Within this world, that hasn’t solved,
All folks that have gone wild,
To shine, one must have evolved,
From crime; to inner child.

But who’s to say, who laughs today,
That’s seen no tears or weakness.
Is it the man, who’s caused such delay?
Who's lies outstand, uniqueness?

Though I’d like to ask, “Hello, why, and when?”
I think, I know the answers.
To that which opposed, cuz heaven knows,
We’d sway back and forth like dancers.

So today I think, I’ll shop today,
Converse with all who's, "danger,"
Cuz tomorrow, out wallets; we’ll have to pay,
For plans, by a man, this stranger.

I like political poetry and spoken words. I like when people express themselves, thougths about our country. Freedom of Speech at its best. Interesting subject you have bravely talked about here.

When I heard about the new "Welfare" and "Unemployment" I was absolutely shocked. I have always been a Democrat until about a year ago and now I am independent for it suites me better. So at times I can have a bleeding heart, however even me was like come on enough is enough.

I use to work in a Welfare to Work program, helping Welfare individuals find employement by educating them job search skills, resumes and interview skills. I know Americans want to help people, and we have people who need the help but we must also recognize that our help is being abused by some and not all. So I am in the middle I want to help but I am tired of the abuse.

Because of this I get your flow and message and I agree.

Great write.

This is so well written, and interesting for me as a Brit, since we've had some sort of welfare system since the liberal reforms just before WW1, we have very different attitudes to you across the pond.

It took more than one read to settle into your rhythm btw, I guess I'd have to hear it from your mouth to get it right in all parts.
