You knew me by heart

                                            and I loved you first

 

You touched me in the dark

no sun,

                          moon,

                                       nor starlight was needed

your eyes were covered with my words

my dreams with your fantasy

on a pillow, scented with desire

you found the place

                                 where winds rise

                                                and flowers burn…

 

Your love rained upon me

                                  silk to my skin

I caught every raindrop

                selfishly

                                 quenching my thirst

 

Touch me..

                                  like yesterday’s rain

and let the winds stir

as we recite each others poetry

and I will feel you

deep in my soul as you move me

 

I am free

I am a goddess

I run through a garden of flowers

                    passion blooming grace

 I am a quiver

                                wet in your rain

            and you will remember…

"SIGH" just a sensual sigh for a sensual "scribble"... Julie I have missed a lot of your read requests and I am deeply sorry... I would be a very rich man if I had a penny for every time you say your poetry is "just a scribble", a statement that is a profound injustice to the poetic world... there's really only a few poets that I have read over the years who are as good as you when it comes to romantic and sensuous poetry... I want to steal this line: "You knew me by heart/ and I loved you first"... says so much I think...

so many beautiful lines in this. A sensual, gentle poem -and that last little line - actually tugs at my ornery heart. To love this much, is both beautiful and aching. This poem feels like a tribute to someone that one can no longer have - there is that "Goodbye" quality to it.
