Moving South

Moving South

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a romantic scribble ~

"

With every breath, with every sigh

we chase moonlight

soft are the moonbeams

            just out of reach

You…with your midnight eyes

and me…weak from your loveliness

longing for the veil to lift

                        aching to taste joy

                  waiting in the darkness

with no other light except that which is you

burning in my soul

like the soft flame of a lighted match

moving south

with every breath, with every sigh

                                                but just out of reach….

                        and still,

                                                we chase moonlight

One of my favorites poem... as expected. You still write very deep romantic poetry. Your latest-work`s very breathtaking. Every word of this write`s meant to be inhaled with your breath left on your written pages. You still conquer my heart... with words.

I`d be looking forward to reading your more work!

Beautiful just does not even begin to describe this poem Julie. Hypnotically enchanting comes close. I really enjoyed this one today.

Ah that ending...chasing the moonlight is a wonderfully romantic image. Your scribbles surely shine Jewel.

Thanks so much Woody! :) Julie
love, passion, subtle longing, movement...such a romantic piece, not sure why it has a mature rating...
this does more hinting than anything, but is a lovely piece.

I've been scolded for not including a mature rating, so perhaps I'm too careful. I may take the rat.. read more

moonlight chasing shores, and shores chasing moonlights.. each with its own unique romantic elegance.. you have a style and grace that is all your own.. your ability to not only pen the words, but construct such an enchanting flow that captivates and entices your readers.. it pulls us under your sensual spell and renders us helpless to do anything but get carried away in the tides of your beauty.. another beautifully moving piece.. can feel the need, the desire, the flames, the longing, and the ache.. those waves are a little heated ma'am..
