The Blush

The Blush

The Blush

I remember our very first touch

your beautiful lips, the blush

of pink so smooth and tastes so sweet

the exhilarating rush

as you took my kiss and now my heart

beats so much softer… still

you may keep the kiss for none since then

has left me such a thrill

A thrill I fear I cannot disguise

with pearls and silk in place

with just a look you see beyond

the blush upon my face

beneath the lace where passion flows

in feelings so surreal

as I long to drink from your sweetness

should another kiss you steal!

Your beautiful poem stirs memories of innocence and awakening for this old man. Anyone with a romantic bone in their body would have their first "kiss" flame re-ignite from your words.
Thank you for your beautiful words.

Beautifully penned.

I love the tone of softness with the underlying implication of passion. Nice mix.

Our bodies always betray our inner responses. If not by a blush, then by dilated pupils, quickened breaths, or sweaty palms.

Love this!

Julie, I enjoyed your poem the first time, and more so the second time.
Your writing has a beautiful romantic feel to it. Pay no mind to this trash.

Should a kiss be stolen,
it is only proper etiquette to hunt down the thief
and take it back.

I absolutely love the rhyme pattern and soft flowing rhythm in this lovely little scribble
It almost sounds like the first verse is the mans viewpoint and the second verse is the woman's

Really a beautiful poem.

Its funny
i have this image in my head
of this guy
the way he looked at me
i can smell the air in his car
his scent
how his hand felt
how his eyes twinkled
how he felt so innocent to my soul

no way that can be relived twice

and no way will i ever forget that moment

anytime of the day
i shut my eyes and i see him the way he was

i said nothing
he was talking alot

i was so lost in everything that is beautiful about him

pretty much everything
the guy has not one flaw
not one

I remember thinking how is this man single ........ who is the woman that walked right passed this air of gorgeous ........ i would slap her for leaving my baby
but then again i am so glad she's gone

because i am in heaven and just music played in my head ever since

i love this write

Bravo
A beautiful description of the impact of a first tumultuous kiss can produce as love temperatures rise to the heavens of bliss so poetically produced and so desired. Yummy Julie!
