Slow and Deep

Slow and Deep

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a love poem ~

"

Time stands in wonder

as the window of my soul opens to greet you

as one would the dawn…

a silent embrace of beauty blissfully captured

Your words fall upon me like petals from a wildflower

once dancing gracefully in a carefree breeze

now mine

not to hold

but to savor slowly

as if it were a sip of fine wine

or a kiss

lingering

like a breath held in a moonlit dream

My spirit smiles slow and deep

I love the images I get when I think all the words through. I read this piece over and over. It reminds me of love at first sight. Talking with someone we meet but secretly knowing they are a soul mate.
I love the word choice very delicate and descriptive!
'Your words fall upon me like petals from a wildflower...'
Beautiful imagery here! Amazing!
Well penned!

To savor a kiss is something very special,
but one that takes our breath away is indeed intoxicating.

The spirit soars and the mind races,
and we know that our life will never be the same once experienced.

You bring out such in your brilliant writing.

This is SOOOOOO good.
I am so glad to see your talent shining again through your poetry.

LOVE THIS<

Words have the power to evoke some of our deepest emotions and bring us close to someone who may miles and miles away. Your beautiful poem captures the essence of this and is one that I will savor....

Morning Miss, thought this was gonna be a shag fest, know what I mean, hide the sausage and all that malarkey. Sweaty bodies, strewn clothes and tissue, cigarettes burning by the bedside, but no, none of that. Right, gotta shoot, got a date with a mug of tea and a bacon sarnie. See us luv.
You are peerless when it comes to writing of this genre....beautiful

I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. Thanks so much :) Julie
This is a lovely gentle love poem and a lovely serene painting. And there are many ways to interpret 'as the window of my soul opens to greet you.' It, to me, is both the physical, the emotional and the ethereal. Which is wonderful, as, ideally, all should be united. So good to have a slow deep smile.
