Not Even the Moon

Not Even the Moon

A Poem by MsJewel
"

~ a love poem ~

"

Before he kissed me…

not even the moon

pale as it was

could cool

the warm wind rising

in a soft velvet sky

and the trees

branches stirring

the shimmer of leaves

waiting

for the night to shed her dew

His eyes held a starlit dream

His heart my only wish

And now…

as I loosen my hair

catching him in silk threads

                tangled

I think…

                not even the moon

Julie, each work is art. You have a gift for pairing the perfect image with your poetry. It's so gentle and tender, but even more passionate. I can see this scene, especially with the lovely lady, light penetrating dark and silk. And, "not even the moon" can cool the passion... even before the kiss. Beyond impressive!

I'm thrilled you enjoyed it. Thank you
Romance is held together by moonlight
the breath of the unfilled desires
and the song spilling from this poets lips...

You have all the skills to write any form...
Yet you continue to grace us with romanctic poetry
the something a miss kinda feeling
that reminds us we are alive and that love must reach.... thank you for moving my heart through the years ...
Beautiful~

It was a pleasure.
"His eyes held a starlit dream"-- that is the prettiest line that I heard today!

Another Gem to warm the cockles of every man's heart and desire and the picture compliments the sensuality and softness. As the band Fleetwood said in song" you make loving fun!"

Your writing is simply velvet and silk.

If I wasn't a monster I'd like to think I'd write like you.

Hi, Julie! : )
Your picture is a warmly creative poem in itself, blending into your softly tender words the nuances of moment, skillfully with effulgent caresses of imagery in thought, heart, and emotional timbre only the most gently sensitive amongst us is likely to fully grasp in essence … still, as in all of your fine efforts, there is something for every discerningly imaginative dreamer's heart.
Whom could resist the sensually metaphoric charm of moon, dreams, and a lover's heart … not me, obviously. ; )

I know mine's thrumming nicely … thank you, Julie, for another lovely moment shared! ⁓ Richard
