Down This Abandoned Road

Down This Abandoned Road

A Poem by Just Plain Me

Here I go...down this abandoned road.
no one's hand to hold,
shivering and shaking, much to cold.
Here I go, all alone, down this abandoned road.

Here I go...down this abandoned road.
No one telling me "It's gonna be okay,"
lifting one foot after the other, paying the price I have to pay.
Here I go, by myself, down this abandoned road.

Here I go...down this abandoned road.
Someone grabs my hand, saying its all gonna be all right,"
as he turns me around, and hugs me tight.
Here we go, down this abandoned road.

Here we go, down this abandoned road.
Not looking back, we've already seen whats back there,
realizing now, I was never alone...he was always with me here.
Here we go, together, down this not so abandoned road.

you did a good job, it seems there is a feeling of being lost, but then realizing that you weren't so alone, and sometimes it takes longer to realize this.
