I feel you

I feel you

A Poem by Jyoti_Ablaze

When the glistening sunlight showers its warmth

I feel you embracing me,

When I see a shooting star leaving its trail on the sky

I see you descending for me.

When the mighty stars’ light penetrates through the cloud

I feel you twinkling above,

When a fresh morning breeze teases me with its charm

I discern your good wishes for me.

When I pass a playground and hear a child’s laughter

Nostalgia of our time grips me,

When the magical droplets of rain shimmer and dance

I feel you smiling and blessing me!

It is said that death can only touch the body and not the soul.

So this piece is penned in the memories of my late father.
Miss you, Papa!

What knows the beautiful flower that from the earth has only just unfolded? It's delicate petals, teased by the fresh morning breeze, the sunlight embracing its graceful leaves. You smile for us, Jyoti, and we beam joyous in return... your words we breath, a fragrant incense and with your thoughts we turn bright and glorious.

100 twinkling stars

You are welcome!
Reading it reminded me of my later mother, though clearly we had different relationships with our parents, I too can sense her overlooking me. Great work, hits right home.

Thank you very much Khatoon!
Oh, Jyoti Dear,
I feel, sense, and hear the endearing child, who's lost her loving Papa's presence in her life, but not his spirit and the myriad of bliss-filled memories they so fondly built together.
It is a most beautifully-poignant verse, Little One, this is for certain, but it is the manner in which your own voice and spirit speaks, and in the caring ways you've presented this heavenly-enthralling piece that gives it breath and brings it to vivid life in our own hearts, minds, and souls.
Here, you've outdone yourself poetically; this is as marvelous a piece as I've had the pleasure to read … I love it!

I bow in great humility, deep emotion, and highest regard and respect for Your's and your Papa's mutual love and bond — such is the reason my eyes well in tenderness … thank you, Jyoti, for sharing your Papa and your love for him with us! 〜 Richard

Wonderful piece! Keeping him in your memory as you go about in the world is the best way to remember him. Writing about it is the second best way.
