I Miss You

I Miss You

A Poem by Shante Payne
"

Missing him when he goes home

"

The sun doesn’t shine here in my world without you

I can’t even say that my skies are blue

But the rain

Oh it pours like tears flowing from the heavens

And my days are like nights twenty-four seven

Yet and still I yearn for the days end

To be one step closer to seeing you again

Sometimes I call you

Only to be wrapped in the warmth of your voice

Just checking to make sure I’m still your one and only choice

Wishing I could be the air that escapes your lungs…

Just to bask in your presence

Your spirit and your aura being of the utmost brilliance

I miss you

Oh how I miss you deeply, insanely, and undeniably so

And the day that I finally see your face won’t be long enough

To fill the void that our parting leaves me with…

I miss you

I miss you

I miss you
