To Whom it May Concern

To Whom it May Concern

A Poem by Alex P.
"

...

"

Silent tears streamed down my face,
Unwilling to believe the hurt in your eyes

I didn't do this,
I couldn't have,
I was just trying to make things right again

Now I'm caught in this spider's web,
And now I can't escape,
Well,
I could,
I just don't want to

These silk-spun threads,
Deceptively strong,
They bind my heart here

Though the pain of losing you is killing me,
Losing everything else,
Everything I've found,
Everything that's renewed my childlike wonder,
My hope for the world...

If I just turned my back on that,
It would kill me that much faster
So i'm sorry for hurting you,
I know it doesn't make things right,
But it's cruel to try to take me from here,
This fantasy I've found,
Call me sick

Maybe I am
But I won't get better,
Not until I'm ready
