"The Truth about the Devil"

 

The devil ain't no fork tongued lizard type creature

infact the devil don't possess even one feature

the devil is the thoughts you think and the things you do

every negative thought about other people or even you

he instills hatred, jealousy, lust, love of money to name a few

if you feel any of those things he's right on cue

to f**k you up and drive you insane and make you a shell of yourself

these bad thoughts and wicked acts ain't good for your mental health

do you suffer from anxiety, depression or fear in any way?

I suggest you work on yourself and also begin to pray

for the opposite of the devil is God who's thoughts are always good

help other people, forgive and forget it's bound to lighten your mood

be careful what you watch on TV and the books you read

if it's always dark and dirty it'll grow in your mind like a seed

try reading positive literature and stories of courage and stealth

and always seek to make just enough don't be hell bent on wealth

be good to your family, take care of your friends try be helpful and nice

honestly friend I speak the truth and this is all sound advice

it's true what the Smiths say "the devil will find work for idle hands to do"

stay of the liquer and drugs and hopefully it won't be you

all things in moderation friend I ain't no prude

but just want to warn you bad living it ain't no good

don't let the evil creep in and take control of your mind

if that has happened take steps to make it rewind

throw yourself into something you enjoy

leave no gaps for the devilish thoughts to employ

keep busy my friend, go for walks spend time with folks who are lonely

and I wish for you a lifetime of good and happiness only

Our lives are myriad opportunities for positive and negative. Each person is like a sponge and from conception we begin absorbing all around us.
Your poem is a wonderful description of what and how we can live. avoiding the enemy's subtle lies.

For a reader like me it's a miraculously write, not only because it holds the truth but also it captures the deepest and surest ways of life and how one feeds devil inside his own self... It's not the devil but we are the one who think devil thoughts that creates Devils inside ourselves... One must look at what he is reading or hanging out with, the more time we spend in Negativity the more it piles on our life... We must associate with positive things and thoughts and just make someone's life a little easier through our efforts... A very uplifting write with a very strong message on humanity...
