I had a bad day

worst day ever

"I had a bad day"

Should of stayed in bed today

Everything turned to grey

Went for a morning run

It was tough, no joy, no fun

Went to work, started off well

Til boss came in and stirred up hell

Complained about all my work

it's not like I like to shirk

I put my all in, always have

had to have a luxurious bath

to wash away the hideous day

the sun is shining but I dismay

don't know if it's worth it anymore

maybe I should close that door

before that door is closed on me

and is locked without a key

Maybe Id be glad of it

Can't be dealing with this s**t

Oh my! That was a very bad day. The poem, however, was very good. Dark, but good. Dark always has its place in good poetry. Alas, most great poets are a despairing lot, but they turn out such wonderful gloom and doom and woe before they succumb to that final darkness. Hang in there and keep pouring all that emotion into your work. you're going somewhere.

Ah I'm sorry I've only ever written poems - I looked at it and when adding a chapter it says you have to go into book first - from there i'm not sure how easy/difficult it would be to add anything - I'm sure there is a "help" section that could assist you - failing that I would look up writers that have managed to post a book and seek advice from them - sorry I couldn't be of any help - please let me know when you manage to post your work so I can read it.

hey hello - oh no sadly no - my wonderful mother-in-law who I was great friends with passed away last week after a short illness - we only just home today from the funeral - heartbreaking - wish I was telling you happier news :( - how about you? please tell me you've had happier times :)

So sorry to hear this. Yes and no. My wife's parents had to leave their farm in Dominican Republic and live here because her fat before had his leg amputated (96 yr old) and her mother's been in a nursing home now for 6 months because she fell and broke her hip and is not recovering. So with that and work my wife rarely are together any more but the good news is my daughter is 5 months pregnant so I'll be a grandfather for the 4th time. I hare summert time in Florida because it's so darn hot.

Guess what? I got an email from a school teacher in New Mexico. She read some of my poetry on the Native American website Firstpeople and wants permission to use it her classroom. Who would've thought?

Sorry about your in-laws being so ill, that must tough on you all - my Dad said we should be born old and get young! - Your poor wife must be exhausted - it can take its toll when caring for your elderly parents, been there, done that, bought the tshirt as they say - don't regret a single thing though, was a priviledge - Scotland has had nothing but rain every day this summer with the odd glimmer of sunshine in the early evenings, not really bothered had a fortnight of hotness in Teneriffe for our holidays so that was good -WOW that is such a compliment, congratulations, I haven't written anything for ages but when the kids go back to school I plan to write for an hour every morning to try and get back in the way of it -oh and congratulations on your daughters news that's wonderful - X

Yeah, I haven't written anything either but have been making many notes to write from eventually. I love the rain. It rains everyday here also but when its finished the heat become unbearable but that's the tropics for ya. God bless and will stay in touch.

work can be the worst of b*****s ..my older daughter has just been going through such things ... i encouraged her to always keep an eye out for another job .. it does eventually work out ..we can't change anyone elses attitude ..but we can do something about our own ..be helpful, spread joy and happiness and do our job ..let everyone else do the drama ... i am a retired nurse and can not count the many times that the brood gathered to rend and tear ... being the minority man it was easy to just walk away .. stay out of it entirely .. eventually those same people came to admire the quality ;) hope you feel better letting off your steam .. this is a good place to do it .. i think! ;)

thank you for reading and reviewing, I was really enjoying the job, working hard, enthusiastic, changing hours at the drop of a hat, going over and above but this boss was just nasty, no pleasing some folks - when he dropped my hours so it wasn't worth me going I was pleased to tell him thanks but no thanks...some jobs just are not worth the grief - hope your daughter finds something new soon, nothing worse than being miserable at work because of someone's bad attitude :)

thanks Gee, yes I agree it was written without thought for intelligent writing, more letting off steam after a s**t day at the office - I had to leave yesterday, hours were reduced and was getting spoken to like crap, not good for one's self esteem lol - ah well a new chapter awaits me - hope it's a better one!! :)
