"What's it all about"

as title suggests

"What's it all about"?

When you passed, I pondered why

When so much do to, did die

You weren't ready to go

Don't ask why, I just know

At your funeral, it was told

how you'd lived your life so bold

Staying loyal to one man

loving wife, mother and gran

You never sought the limelight

though you always shined so bright

Doing what you did so well

Without having to boast or tell

Quietly tending your family's needs

Whilst ever so gently planting seeds

of faith and advice that slowing sunk in

over the noise and over the din

Never a selfish thought in your head

you were the food when we needed bread

Never a harsh word or a curst

you were the water, satisfying our thirst

Gently, gently through life you went

Not a care for yourself or a penny spent

All thoughts for your husband and his welfare

for your family and friends your biggest care

That's what life is all about, I believe

  Giving,  never wanting to receive

 you were a shining example my dear

now in God's loving presence, I cheer
