on days like these 

no questions arise 

pleasantly present 

observing the radiant beams of golden light 

bursting through the leaves -

the sun

on days like these the mind is light 

love exudes

the connection is obvious 

in the minds eye

on days like these 

I wish to grab you, kiss you, 

whisk you away to that 

place called Abandon 

where wildflowers dance

where fear is relinquished 

like the time fear itself, never was

on days like these 

unfettered, yet bursting with compassion

for you

for me

the universe reclaims it’s rightful space 

inside my soul

and yes, I remember, 

it was in there all along

ah, it’s days like these …
