Cave in poetry

Cave in poetry

A Poem by Cat

I am lost in a labyrinth of rose peteled wishes
I can never feel like I am truly home
I always sandcastle myself into the arms of whoever decides to hold me
I think fondly of a life I'd never live
Me world
is kaleidoscope and my lungs are always upside down
I try to breath in caverns and wake up lonely instead
Wondering never gets me too far anyways
If it means for just one moment
I wouldn't feel the need to hold on
I would do away with the steel handles
leather suitcase longing
if it means for a moment I wouldn't be zip tied to reality
then truly
believe me
I would never miss the chance
to fly

Sandcastle. I like the way you used that.
