Maybe One Day

Maybe one day

The world will see

These scars on my heart

Were real.

Maybe one day

People will understand

What they can't see

Is still there.

Maybe one day

Someone will smile 

And not add to my pain

As so many times

My life they have drained

With their hurtful words

With just passing by

With laughing instead

Of hearing my cry

Maybe one day

This life will change

When it comes to a close

And they turned the page.

I believe in that day, I had one of those yesterday in fact. There are people here now about us that can come into our lives and be this for us, this dream can be now, if we will allow it, and we will bring to ourselves these ones who will help us along. I have lived most of my life dreaming of this One Day, it is upon us, we need to know it is a possible dream.
