When senses love 2. Sight

When senses love 2. Sight

A Poem by Lupus Kaos

I remember the times
I saw your eyes
closely, while kissing
your lips, now missing
their sweet as honey taste
but keeping the image of your face.

I remember that day,
I refer it when I pray,
to come again, the day
when I saw you on my way
to the park for the first time.
And I feel alive.

There are many images
inside my mind, maybe
because you left the world
we live in so soon.
They come cause of a perfume
a sound or a similar face
I might see on the road.

The eyes might see a lot of people
But there will always be one you.

I really like your whole concept with this poem cycle. There's a great deal of beauty in what you've captured here, going through the sense like this. I also appreciate your use of actual rhyme in your poem - feel like there's much too much free verse going around these days. You take a rather generic topic - first sight of a loved one - and make it your own with your poem, which is a very admirable ability, and the ending couplet is simple and elegant, which serves to counterpoint the slow build-up of the rest of the poem. I'm impressed with your craftsmanship here and I look forward to reading more from you. Well done.

Sadness I like to embrace in each of her forms. I feel alone and Solitude is my only friend...But I have no complain about that, since I can write and express myself. more..
