Anticipation

Even if years pass by i will wait for that one person.

I stand here patiently waiting

waves gently embracing me

eyes gaze at the vastness

laid out in front of me

Listening to every whisper

and every syllable, awaiting

for that one voice that could 

bring me back to reality

Hours pass by, so does a

number of wandering footprints

but none belong to the one

i long for, still i keep waiting

Will he ever eagerly call out to me

or will his voice be drowned

by the echoes of the deep blue

which calls me in his absence
