Without you

Without you

A Poem by Katy Stash

I'm swimming in an endless ocean
I'm drowning in a deep river
I'm walking in a dessert
I'm lost without you
I can't run
Strange though it may seem
I can't move on
Without you
I've made so many mistakes
And right now all I wanted from you
Was to save me
From this heart that's draught
I can't even cry
Cause tears will turn into dust
I'm lost here in the dessert
Without you
How can I fly
When my wings are broken
An endless road would be enough
For me to run back and forth to you
Just to be sure I'll not run without you
I don't want to fall again
Like I did
I can't swim
Without you

Wow, this is some emotionally powerful stuff. Awesome poem! I can totally relate and you put everything into such great words. You painted quite the picture with your descriptions. Fantastic!

I like how you extend the watery imagery (river/ocean/tears) then contrast it well with draught/desert.

Cause tears will turn to dust

Fav line.

Such a deep powerful read,
Loved the opening lines the best.
This is very well written.
Love the ending as well.
