Passive Aggressive

Passive Aggressive

A Poem by Kate P. Lamb
"

Venting... Again...

"

You tell me you feel under appreciated,

Like I’m making your life hell,

That I b***h at you all day,

And all I do is yell

You tell me things weren’t this bad,

When I was living somewhere else,

Well you won’t have to worry much longer,

Because soon I’ll be off by myself

It’s not as though

I don’t have my own problems to worry over,

Things stressing me out too,

I realize that we’re pinched for cash,

But don’t you think if I could,

I wouldn’t help you?

Do you think me that vain,

That I wouldn’t help my own blood?

As much as you parallel me,

I’m not my father,

I’m not the brat you think I am

I don’t like being such a pain

Soon I’ll be on my own,

You won’t have to deal with me any more,

And we can return to that fake relationship

The happier one,

Where we actually talked like human beings,

And actually enjoyed one another’s company

I miss that you,

I know she’s there somewhere,

Why can’t you let her out more?

Is having me around that horrible,

You said you missed me when I was gone

Did you really miss me?

Doesn’t seem like it.

Now I remember why I left.
