The words swept off of my tongue smoothly.
I laid there, Yearning for your voice to rise and break the silence. But all that would fill the cracks of the black nothingness of the night were your breaths. Sweet tunes were played through air escaping your lips.
The big fat arrow of the clock kept falling downward.
Through all of that time all I wanted was your response of mutual connect.
Through all of that time I was lost without your touch or reassurance.
That is how I know, I need you more than most.

There's no harm proclaiming your love for someone but you can't have them proclaim it back to you if they don't know it or don't feel it. These are words of despair that you have written. sad to read
