Sweetest Agony

Sweetest Agony

A Poem by Awake.&.Unafraid
"

love and dying

"
The curtain that is the night sky
engulfs me like the dying shape
I am, and as I fall toward
The sun, it greets me as a wraith

As heav'nly hands take hold my soul
Shall all love's hope now rot?
Perhaps if you would mourn, my soul
Would fill with what I've saught

Mortality prove steady, now
The sweetest agony
In death fulfillment might be felt
It your sweet tears are shed for me

So in my final breath I'll leave
these parting words, take heed-
"Goodbye, dear heart," declare'th my lips
And I will take my leave

You exicuted this very nicely. It could have been cliche, but you pulled it away from that by giving it a nice flow and an eerie, almost haunting voice. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.
