Once (10-15-16)

Once (10-15-16)

A Poem by Katseye

I once was willow

Flowing with the breeze

Bending and twisting

As storm winds came

Now a blasted oak

The lighting has struck

Soul burned to ash

A hollow stump

Where a willow

Once danced

As someone who has felt defeated several times in life, I feel this to my core. Well done.

Life happens and our frailness is often revealed. Sometimes we ARE allowed to catch-a-breath between the days - but sometimes not.

Thank you, for you kind words, and taking time to read me.

You notice how days can have this way of just lengthening and lengthening?
