Buckets

Buckets

A Poem by Kay

i overthink you in buckets

like contemplation of life itself

questioning the legitimacy of morality

these malleable stretches of clay

and i wish that i could dry you

from the currents of inner turmoil

splashing the oval of my skull

a carbonated can anticipating release

with buttons undone in preparation

and an umbrella opened wide

but you define the word blasphemy

in every regard of insanity

and these buckets stupidly overflow

until the water drowns my face
