Enmity

Enmity

A Poem by Kay

There's no excuse for an explosion
without the tender honey of humility after,
since you offer no explanation for volatile eruption
and sport your crown like a justified tyrant.
I see no white light in your aura,
though you've fooled yourself into righteousness
with a bitter balm on your lips
picked up by the venomous traces of your tongue.
