if i were to die young

if i were to die young

A Poem by kayBiE

If i were to die young;

would you paint the sky green and place pretty red flowers?

would you turn the ground to sky and let us take a stroll?

would you let us sleep on the rain,

and get transported by the lightning and thunder?

and ask the stars to offer us their light?

Would you let God visit;

and offer him a cup of tea just to beg and plea with him to give me a few more days?

would you ask the angels to offer me their strength so that i can carry

on with the day?

would you take me out for a picnic

and put lit candles around us, instead of placing rose petals?

would you place chocolate bars instead and let us swim in ice cream?

would you extend my days, put in an extra hour or two

just to bee with me?

would you want to be with me and miss a game with the boys

just to keep me company?

If i were to die young;

would you ask the animals to sing me a song just to hear the last sound of nature?

would you rest beside me just so that you could be the last one with me when i die?

Good questions in your poem. I believe we find places to remember faces and voices. Some people are permanent part of us. I like your description and desire of this poem.
