Inner State of Mind: Pent up Emotions

Inner State of Mind: Pent up Emotions

A Poem by Koari
"

When emotions rise high, the mind creates their own world for the inner self to live as they wish, but can't because the real world will judge them. Here are my worlds in my Inner State of Mind

"
Flicker. Fade.
The light bulb is dying.
Flicker. Fade.
Final sparks fight to survive.
Flicker Fade.

There she lays, huddling in a corner.
Heart beating fast, mind screaming for control.
She clutches to her shirt, something for comfort.

Splish. Splash.
Down run the tears.
Splish. Splash.
Sad eyes cry freely.
Splish. Splash.

There she struggles to sit up, still in the corner.
Ears ringing, mind begging for silence.
She picks up her blade, something of distraction.

Drip. Drop.
Down drips the blood.
Drip. Drop.
Fresh wounds bleed fast.
Drip Drop.

There she sits upright, facing away from the corner.
Teeth gritting, heart pleading for mercy.
She curls back on the floor, something of despair.

Abandoned. Alone.
No knocks are heard.
Abandoned. Alone.
She is depressed, feeling isolated.
Abandoned. Alone.

There she remains, huddling in the corner.
Light dying, hope fading from her eyes.
She knows she's neglected, no one will save her.

True words truthfully expressed. As Shakespeare wrote: "To be or not to be..."
I understand your poem's resolute and final decision. Very deep and very honest creation, dear Koari.
