Love

Love

A Poem by Juan Muniz

A wish in vain to end this mist,
It hovers around me like an empty kiss.

Tears envelop this twisted destiny,
And my voice yells, for your remedy.

These promises fade as fast as life
Why did you leave
When time left me to die.

Inevitable sorrows, you left at my door
Irreplaceable memories, left deep in my core.
Your touch was the sun,
Your kiss was the moon,
You were my heart,
that stopped too soon.

The end is as a slow, burning, fire,
A paralyzing cold, killing your desire.

Your love was caught in the in between,
Thinking whether or not,
 you should love me.

Like this verse, we had limits
Like this verse, we were given

A choice to die, or live, on
Unlike us, and our wrecked song

I leave, you, to decide upon,
If our story is hate, or full of ____.
