Hand in hand

Hand in hand

A Poem by Khalab Darnell

Just some late night thinking

Power. Faith. Power and Faith. Neither work without the other.
For it is not want we believe that gives us faith, but what we hope to receive in return for our actions. This is what gives us the drive, the passion.
Yet we still believe with no hard evidence of a promise land, but from years of forced teaching we perceive a false understanding, striving for something which is no more than a glorified sweatband.
But yet we still believe, believe that God is the voice of all reason, his words fertile like a woman well seasoned. We believe out of fears, because the pain for told can bring giants to tears.
We believe because we live off hope, a drug more sinister then the strongest of dopes. Faith is Power, there is Power in Faith. These words are my own yet I am no more than a wraith.
