The Silence of the Night

The Silence of the Night

A Poem by Keeley
"

we all know what I mean by this

"

I curse the silence of the night.

In the still of the night,

right before I go into dreamland,

all kinds of thoughts run through my head.

The events of the day,

things to come,

and things that have been.

And when I think of all the people that I need to talk to,

I want to scream right then and there.

Because I know that this half of the hemisphere is asleep,

or it should be.

All kinds of thoughts run through my head,

right before I go into dreamland,

in the still of the night.

I curse the silence of the night.

Oh I hate that when you know you need to get to sleep and everything is buzzing around so loud in your head you can not seem to force your eyes shut. Nice honest easy flowing piece that speaks of reality for most of us.
