Faded Kisses

Faded Kisses

A Poem by Kelso A. Nicholson

Faded are your kisses, they never last long
as I cannot find a place to store my heart.
I give and inevitably revoke
walking such a thin line
swaying back and forth with the changing breeze.
I love and inevitably regret
all the while holding on to secrets
or truths that I am too afraid to tell you.
I feel and inevitably forsake
when I tire of dangling my heart in front of you.
Waiting for you to reach out for it.
Faded are your kisses, because you never stay long.

Gosh, this is so beautiful. Forlorn. Well chosen words. Really well penned.
