Fortunately Unfortunate

Fortunately Unfortunate

A Poem by KenzeeMay

Behold, Miss Unfortunate Soul.
Everybody gather around and see who she tries to be.
Listen to the insecurity of her laugh, the quiver in her voice, and the silence of her mind.
Watch her as she searches for something she may never find.
What is she looking for?
The spirit of her existence.
How does one find themselves when they've been running from the one that stares back in the mirror?
She wonders when the burning agony of being a stranger to herself will end, and the beautiful revelation begins.
When will she feel good enough?
Not for others, but for the one in the mirror.
When does her purpose take its place?
Or is it hidden in an infinite cloud that never releases its rains?
The pain of not knowing who you are will come and go as the waves break on the seaside.
Leaving only the foamy substance of what could be, but not entirely.
So sleep my darling, for your dreams are fortunate to have you.
And the beautiful epiphany will eventually shine through.
And the glorious agony will wash away with the foam and join the moon's tide.
So sleep my love, for your dreams admire your fortunate soul.
