Schizoid InfatuationA Poem by Kes
You're so beautiful in your strange and sad afflictions. You're so tragic in your all-consuming addictions. You were so enamoured with all these clashing contradictions, That you conquered the world on the strength of your convictions.
What you see in the mirror's the wasted face of your reflection. You brush aside the torment, in search of drunken affection. You're trying to live your life without a hint of imperfection, But you're living your life in the aftermath of disconnection.
You're so lost inside your wild imagination. Your head is spinning from the rising acceleration. You were so excited by your schizoid infatuation, That you gave yourself over to their determination.
What you see in my eyes is the product of devotion, Not the late nights and lazy days of a soul without emotion. © 2012 KesAuthor's Note
