Voices in my head

keep saying I'm wrong.

They keep telling me that I'm sick.

I'm halfway dead,

And it won't be long.

They don't know the half of it.

Now I'm screaming out my soul.

You know

it's not enough just to say you care.

I just needed you there.

 

I'm chasing the sky;

But there's nothing up there,

Just cold and aimless attraction.

There's not enough light,

And it's driving me to distraction.

I think these lines are great. They capture how things can become so distorted when we are finding our state of being difficult.
