Gathered Around the Piano

Gathered Around the Piano

A Poem by Ki Rider
"

The memory I have of my friends in the great day swing choir.

"
We all stand,
Gathered around the piano.
United by our hands.
Each Bass, Tenor, Alto, and Soprano.

We're all friends,
We're all family.
United till the end.
We sing merrily.

Why do we sing?
Because we find joy
In the sound of voices ringing.

Why are we here?
To give joy
To everyone near.

I look around at everyone's faces, grateful.
A feeling of pure happiness is here.
I am not alone for being thankful.
And I cry a bucket's fill of tears.

We all stand gathered around the piano.
Holding hands and crying tears.
All of us Bass, Tenor, Alto, and Soprano.
Thankful for all our friends we have here.
