Thirsty amid the sea

Thirsty amid the sea

A Poem by M.Kilani

Waves carry me home
I can't dwell sea no more
Send me a man among the norm
Carry me to that golden shore

How longer this ship can carry me
More than days it's seen storms
Widowed hundreds so it roams
As I sail in the darkest sea

Open ocean yet never free
One day calm, another in rage
Vast and wide, as an empty page
Yet no other place to be

You can outrun devil; outrun Lucifer
for one to live one must suffer
Oh bloody sea, your love is a crime
Still I can't out run the hands of time

Would you be my spacious grave
Would you burry me now
Would you take me to my awe
With the next wave

Or to her arms will you take me
For oceans I see in her eyes
Your waves are safer than her cries
And I'll always be the thirsty man amid the sea

Hmmm... That sounds like me. Maybe that's why I like that line so much. Lol.
A gentle wave to carry me home sounds so peaceful. Especially after a rage.
I couldn't stay long anyways... I'm a fire element. :P

the want-n plea of home and land, what a wonderful flow full of image of a easy pace that leads the reader, letting each wave break on th horizon. Loved it.

that line - a thirsty man amid the sea - cloaked desperation. Much like being alone in a room of strangers. It is palpable. There is something about the sea that terrifies...but this is a wonderful write.

Ah... "water water everywhere but not a drop to drink".
I liked the mystic in your pen. The line, "I can't dwell sea no more" reads odd to my eye.
"How longer this ship can carry me", likewise reads odd.
I got the meaning well and I have no other advice to add to this.
I want to ask why after I read this. Why must we find ourselves adrift in the vast sea?
Maybe you gave your answer in the fourth stanza... Not sure I would agree with the thought, but it is a common proposition.
Wonderful mind behind this write.
