Interlude III: Who Are We, Really?

Interlude III: Who Are We, Really?

A Chapter by Alex Vidmar

We are only human,

Or so everyone says.

We are the descendants of apes,

So the scientists say.

We are the descendants of Adam and Eve,

That's what the Bible says.

In my opinion,

None of this is true.

We are the descendants of violence,

Death, hatred, rape, love, and more.

We are animals, that is no lie.

And, like all animals, we're all going to die.

Our minds have been brainwashed

By the Electronics Age.

Imagine what life was like,

During the reign of the Bubonic Plague.

We would've all died,

Because of our weak dependance.

Those are the stories that will be heard

By all of our descendants.

I really like this and I'm not really a poem person. I find it really hard to relate to poems, I don't know why, but I really liked this one. You are really talented!
