A Poem by Pimpinella
"

i wrote this poem for a girl. This was after my year writing hiatus

"

 Glowing eyes across the room

Flickering with wonder from their deep blue

Blue explains the eyes that belong to a girl

A girl who has flowing hair like grass in a calm breeze

With a face so soft to the touch

And a smile like the sun through a window

The way she dances

Her body moves to the beat

Of the thump thump thump  in my chest

Teasing just out of reach

Winding through my grasp

Body moves as mouth sings

Singing a song of longing

Constantly there, ringing in my head

Wanting to grab it

To pull that soft body close

To feel the embrace

Of beauty in my arms

To have body against body

Soul against soul

Heart against heart

My girl says she wishes I'd write something this lovely about her. She read it with me, but then she said she feels better being called a angel with broken wings, lol. Good write with good emotion. You have some good metaphors there with grass, but in telling that its about a girl, the piece loses something there. I like the whole dance part cause its how I feel when I'm at the club and my little hottie is just being something else.
