The school of learning

The school of learning

A Poem by Onyia-Ali, Kingsley Chukwuebuka Benson
"

(A little learning is a dangerous thing Drink deep, or teste not the Pierian spring)

"

The school of learning

In the school of learning selflessly,

Where books signal sigh, sight-seated silly

All the books we learnt freely, stood odd

Given to the white witness pepper, submitted

To the eye awareness, therein we talk

The belly knowledge of the foreign black.

Encyclopaedia booked into our head,

Storaged lored sentences, narrowed

Us down drunk with words’

Ambiguous drift, rooted us superficially

Safe was left, kept selflessly.

Oh! Thank you so much on your nice review. I appreciate Rahul Jayker.
"Storaged lored sentences, narrowed

These were the lines that spoke to me the most. What constitutes education? Chewing and spitting out books at will is only one part of it. Bookish knowledge is incomplete. It does indeed narrow us down. We need to observe the world around us, observe keenly and learn through experience. Only then can our perspectives broaden. That is the school that we should all be studying in. At least, that is the image that formed in my mind. Thanks!

You're welcome Kingsley! :)
Some great lines here, the last line of the first verse deserves to go viral, enjoy the alliteration and pararhymes, so a good job here

Thank you so much sir, I appreciate your review.
Clever write. The pitfalls of knowing just a little too little. Food for thought this one.

'Us down drunk with words’
Ambiguous drift, rooted us superficially'

Keep exploring, nice one.
