Coffee

Coffee

A Poem by Kaliope

Inhaling the earthy vapor, I take a fawn-colored sip.
Sweet and lively as Bambi.
The aching subsides.
My eyes are no longer drooping.
On a plush love seat,
I'm swaddled in knit things.
Warming my esophagus, I counter the nip of the draft.

' It's as sweet and lively as Bambi.'

As a coffee-plus drinker i so love your thinking! As to the way you've briefly but fully worded your poem, coffee takes on a near-nectar like meaning now - says I, sip-sipping my first cuppa of the day. Thank you so much..

I always love when writers describe a word into many sentences.

I love this description. As a former coffee addict now just a recreational user :p I think you captured the many faces of this glorious liquid beautifully.
