Meanwhile

Meanwhile

A Poem by Kitty

Daily I thought about you,
Wondering where you were,
What you were doing,
And if you were thinking of me.

But meanwhile you were out
Holding her hand,
Kissing her,
Forgetting all about me.

I would write you letters,
Write you poems of love,
In each one declaring that my love for you
Would never come to an end.

Meanwhile you held my letters and poems up in the air
Just before you ripped them to pieces,
Laughing it up
With all your friends.

I waited for your phone call,
Which only came once in a while.
You said you still loved me
And that you would never leave.

But meanwhile you called me names,
Insulted me behind my back.
You lied to me and cheated on me,
You laughed because I still believed.

Then one day I saw the truth.
I cried for days.
I felt so hurt
Deep inside.

Meanwhile you realised
That what you did was wrong.
You tried to apologise, but in vain.
I had already died...

About
Finding peace has always been a struggle for me. But if there is one thing I can wish for the world, it's peace, love, more tolerence, faith, hope and trust. I hope you find it somewhere out there.... more..
