Wasting Blood [Precious Gold]

Wasting Blood [Precious Gold]

A Poem by Emunah June.
"

Yes the blood, it is my victory!

"

To my God, my Lord and Saviour

You are the only thing I should live for

When I have been so selfishly living within myself

Doing what pleases me, what does me well

When in all actuality, it was never well at all

I have wasted Your blood.

That day

I'm sure

It was hot, and depressing

And Your pain, my God,

I cannot begin to fathom your pain.

You carried the wood

A tree of beginnings, of forgiveness

Even then, You thought of me

Nails piercing skin, You were human, You were not immune to the pain

The crown of my selfishness, that awful crown of thorns

And even then

In all Your grace and beauty

You whispered "It is done", and breathed Your last

Precious blood dripping down your palms, a gift of life

And I did not drink, nor did I partake

Of a blessing that came so easily to You.

And the best part of my story

Is that now, in this moment

Where all time goes about it's bussiness

And I'm struggling to catch up

You still love me, You still know me as Your child

And I will run to you, my God

For only you can forgive me for wasting such precious gold

From divine veins such as Yours.

This is amazing.
It's like watching His crucifixion, and instead of seeing blood of red, and death,
I see Him bleeding gold droplets onto the ground and plants springing to life beneath the cross.
Beautiful flowers and leaves of green.
Just like the garden of Eden.
This is an amazing poem.
Well done!

I really like this poem...He has given us so much and we always seem to either forget that or ignore it at times and do our own thing just to find out how much we really do need Him the hard way. It is so amazing how He loves and forgives us even at our weakest times.

Great Job
