cosmopolitan dreams

cosmopolitan dreams

A Poem by Krista Laraine

I am getting lots of exercise
shaking those martinis.

.......sip, sip.........
.......sigh.............

Shaken 'till they're icy
cause it's summertime.
Goose and all the gander.
I want it like a kid wants a
Slurpee.

.....sip. sip..........
........cry.............

I have figured it all out.
I want to be a lawyer.

......sip, sip............
.......zzzzz.............

I'm getting too much exercise.

Somewhere there is a disposition being demanded by a law firm stating, "If it's good for the goose then legally we ought to be able to gander our eyes over this cosmopolitan dream!".
A very original style.
I love the way this ripples deeper than cold waters sunk to the depths of the deeper lakes. Much more than just a simple sip from the cosmos. It's awareness by the cup full. It's a struggle through your thoughts of desires and understandings over your dreams, cheeks red and bending inward, your mind bent in the cold headaches... and yet you never seem to get that drink. You just keep pushing at it's door and shaking over the promise of clarity / relief. I have the same trouble with golf..lol. It's beautiful.
