What it Feels Like

What it Feels Like

A Poem by Krisen Lison
"

I've learned my best poetry comes from being really bored in class and decided to vent...

"
I hear it everyday
Sometimes more than once
They say they understand me
That they were like me once

All of them keep lying
To try and ease my pain
But really they're just thinking
Of the admiration they will gain

They don't know what it feels like
To hate yourself each day
To really truly hate despise yourself
In such a violent way

They will never feel
So empty deep inside
To wish the world to fall
So you can take the ride

They don't know what it feels like
To beg for oblivion
To constantly wish
To end the life you're livin'

They won't understand
What it's like to feel nothing
To beg and plead for injury
Just to feel something

They will never be
Reliant on a pill
Or to be filled with worry
But I always will

They will never know
What desperation feels like
To always look at yourself
With contempt and dislike

They will never understand
Why it is that I strike
Because they'll never know
What it really feels like

As sad as it is, I get like this a lot. I have good days and bad days, like everyone else, but my bad days are filled with hatred and remorse. You are voicing my troubles, and for that, you placed in my contest. Congrats.
